Meadows Day Nursery

The Meadows is a childcare nursery offering a real home from home environment in a rural area of Tallington close to Uffington, Barnack, Market Deeping and all other surrounding villages including the town of Stamford and Bourne. The Meadows is open Monday to Friday 7.30am until 6.00pm 52 weeks of the year. Offering flexible childcare, including shift patterns. Children learn independently in our care that promotes quality and values diversity.

Within our nursery we have a spacious layout offering day care for children aged from 6 weeks to 11 years of age. We have designated areas for free choice play, role play, messy play, quiet times, sleep times and nappy changing. The rooms also have a large en-suite bathroom with low level sinks and toilets to aid potty and toilet training.

Our secure, spacious, all weather surfaced areas are also a part of every child’s session. Our outdoor area comprises of different areas for investigation, stimulation, adventure and play. Away from nursery, our children are provided with the opportunity to venture further with walks in and around our local areas. We have strong bonds with other local establishments and visit them regularly.

All meals that the children enjoy are nutritious. We encourage our children to explore and enjoy all kinds of tastes and textures. Special dietary requirements are catered for throughout such as allergies, free-from, vegetarian, vegan, even likes and dislikes. We have a spacious fully equipped kitchen and provide freshly cooked meals if required. We provide a flexible service where parents can choose whether they would like their child to receive a hot cooked meal or whether they would like to bring in a packed lunch. Fresh water is accessible throughout every session provided in drinking stations within our rooms. The Meadows is inspected regularly and has been awarded the highest rating of 5 stars by the local authority environmental health department endorsing that the nursery operates to the requirements of the food hygiene law.

If you wish to reserve a place at our nursery for your child, you will be asked to complete a registration form and return it with a £35 deposit. All invoices are issued on the 15th of every month and are due to be paid in full on the 1st of the next month. Fees can be paid in methods of cash, voucher payments, tax-free childcare schemes or by bacs directly into our nursery bank account. Late payments will occur late payment charges and could leads to termination of your child’s place.

Government funding of up to 30 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year is available for 3 and 4 year olds. You will be required to complete additional forms to claim your funding, these will be given to you by our nursery. The funding is then deducted from your monthly invoice and if a balance is required to be paid, this is paid in the normal way.

Some 2 year olds maybe eligible to claim up to 15 hours funding per week for 38 weeks of the year. This is based on specific criteria that we can advise you on, or more information is available on the following website

We offer excellent facilities within our out of school club. We pride ourselves in offering an wide variety of activities to support the interests of all of our children. All children that attend our wrap around care Monday to Friday are also welcome in the holidays along with other children that attend other schools locally. We are seen as one of the best of school club provisions in our area. Our breakfast club opened from 7.30am offering care before school and opens again in the afternoon offering care up until 6.00pm. Breakfast and all snacks are included in our price.

The children have a wide range of both stimulating and quiet activities to choose from, children are encouraged to help plan all of our activities. We have a quiet area with a sofa and cushions where children can relax and chill out after school if they would like too. We provide opportunities for our children to complete homework if time is limited at home, this also includes one to one reading. Our extended space, equipment and large garden area also provides opportunities for outdoor play even for the older children.

We are the only nursery in our area to have the facility of our own transport. We have a well-equipped mini-bus, our mini-bus is used to transport our children on educational trips and our out of school club children to and from school.
